See like bees…

Botanical Experiments with Orthrochromatic wet plate collodion emulsion. This emulsion is more sensitive towards the ultraviolet side of the visible and invisible spectrum of light waves. Flowers that attract pollinators often will have particular designs or markings that are towards this side of the color spectrum and as I first used flowers out of convenience for the low ISO emulsion, I found myself fascinated with how the flowers were translated into values of exposure that were unexpected and surprisingly beautiful. Each composition is a learning experience and I find myself constantly curious and rewarded with these experiments in seeing the flowers as the bees and other pollinators might see them.
